What people are saying about Bondi Legs
Breige, Melbourne based mother of two is paving the way for a greener planet with her new luxury, multi-wear clothing brand Bondi Legs.
Designed & made ethically in Australia from regenerated ocean waste (premium Italian ECONYL® regenerated Nylon yarn) - Bondi Legs believes in slow fashion that lasts. Breige has always loved the ocean! Growing up on the Gold Coast, she used to “swim past the waves, dive down to the bottom of the sea, looking back up at the sky though the water. It was my special place.” But during a sabbatical to Sri Lanka, Briege saw the ocean differently. Standing on a deserted beach, she saw it covered in plastic & realised our oceans are choking & she had to do something about it. @Patagonia were the first clothing brand to use plastics in their manufacturing, back in 1993! Recycling plastic soda bottles to produce polyester to their fleece, since then other brands, including Bondi Legs are catching on - @fairharbour, @parleyfortheoceans, @girlfriendcollective & even @countryroad, @adidas & @H&M are now incorporating recycled plastics into their wares.
Turning recycled plastics into clothing is one way of giving back to our planet… As Breige explains - “everything we do at Bondi Legs is to remove rubbish, not make it.” Breige is not only proud that Bondi Legs is ethically made, but she is also proud that all garments are manufactured in Sydney & that the company is named after Bondi Beach - "Bondi is such an iconic Australian beach, I wanted to celebrate it. All of our pieces are named after Australian beaches - Bells, Burleigh, Byron..."
